Employee happiness is trending now as HR topic of discussion, and for good reason.

  • Buying Turkeys for Employees – Simplified!

    gThankYou Turkey Gift Certificates

With a gThankYou! Turkey Gift Certificate, recipients can choose the turkey they want, when and where they would like to shop. We make it easy for you too! Call gThankYou today: 888-484-1658.

gThankYou! Turkey Gift Certificates simplify the workplace tradition of buying turkeys for employees and preserve the gift’s meaning: gratitude!
For generations, employers have bought turkeys for employees — real, frozen turkeys that weigh up to 25 pounds. It’s an appreciated, well-meaning gesture, but a frozen turkey gift comes with strings attached.
Let’s face it, frozen turkey gifts are not convenient for the giver or the recipient! They’re awkward to store, transport and distribute. And they involve guess-work that’s difficult to know. What if a recipient bikes or takes public transportation, doesn’t have enough freezer space or it’s not the right size or timing for their family? (more…)

  • Give the Workplace Gift Everyone Needs: Flexibility!

Make flexibility a workplace gift in YOUR company!

The flexibility to work when and where you want is a valued workplace benefit, especially this busy back-to-school time of year.

As summer winds down, the workplace gift employees appreciate most is a flexible schedule!

As people take last-minute summer outings and families prepare kids for the new school years, work/life balance is more important than ever.

Late August is especially challenging for parents and caregivers sending older kids off to college and preparing younger ones to go back to school. There are some responsibilities people just need to take care of during a workday, like meeting their child’s Kindergarten teacher or attending mandatory parent school meetings.  A little flexibility this time of year can go a long way to building employee loyalty and morale.  It’s a valuable workplace gift indeed – and it’s good for your business, too!

  • Employee Food Gifts Will Delight Your Workplace

A timeless workplace gift: employee food gifts!

Photo via Calvert Cafe & Catering, Flickr

Employee food gifts can make your workers’ day. Naturally, you want to express appreciation and make employees feel valued—after all, they’re the reason your business is successful!

In “Want Happier Employees? Feed Them,” Inc. contributor and HR expert Suzanne Lucas writes,

“Sometimes making your employees happy can be as simple as arranging for bagels in the morning or sandwiches at lunch.”

Lucas’ statement is well-founded — she references Seamless survey data. In the report, 60% of respondents state that food at the office would make them feel more “valued and appreciated.” 40% of respondents also said that food in the office “could reduce stress.” Why? Because company-sponsored meals (or snacks!) encourage employees to take a break and eat together. This allows them to refresh their workday, connect with coworkers, and build community and shared responsibility.

The numbers are in and employees have spoken! Employee food gifts are an excellent expression of workplace gratitude and employee appreciation.
